Cultivation methods
Which one you choose depends on your farm: double-row systems bring more plants per hectare and therefore a higher yield, while single-row systems score with higher fruit quality and higher picking performance, because almost all fruit hangs at the sides, is ideally ventilated and is easy to see and pick. As a rule of thumb: the topsoil dam (single-row and double-row) is particularly suitable for open-field areas. The substrate dam (single-row and double-row) is recommended for tunnel cultivation or for fields where strawberries have been grown repeatedly, close to the farm.

The single-row topsoil dam complements the proven double-row system with a narrower single-row variant with 1.20 m row spacing. For the highest fruit quality and the best picking performance.

Double-row dam systems

The topsoil dam is a double-row dam and offers an efficient strawberry growing system with up to 60 thousand plants per hectare. A system that requires no herbicides and clearly improves the quality of the strawberries.

The substrate dam is ideally suited to areas that are to be used repeatedly for strawberry growing or that no longer have any soil fertility. Double-row planting brings up to 60,000 plants per ha for the highest yields. Possible both in polytunnels and in open-field cultivation.
